The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a registered charity,
whose function is to save
lives at sea, on coasts and on certain inland
waterways. This is a vital service, operating on a 24/7 basis, in all weather
conditions. It is necessarily a massive, complex and expensive operation, and
one way in which the cost is met is through the tireless activities of local
fundraising branches like ours.
Our branch operates through the districts of Twickenham, Teddington, St
Margarets, Whitton, Sunbury, the Hamptons and Ashford (Middlesex). It has been
in existence since 1959, and over that time has collected close to a
million Pounds for the RNLI! In fact, we are making a big push to hit
that target - hopefully in our anniversary year - keep an eye on the Million Pound campaign page to see how we're
doing.
